Funeral services for Robert “Bob” S. Dupree, 87, of Downsville, LA, formerly of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Highland Park Baptist Church of Monroe with Rev. Larry Linson officiating. Interment will follow at Downsville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Dupree was born on March 26, 1924 in Alto, LA and passed away on April 5, 2011 in Downsville, LA. He was a veteran of World War II, a deacon at Highland Park Baptist Church, and was retired from United Gas Pipeline Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alva “B” Dupree, a sister, a brother, and a great grandson, Casey Lynn Chappell. He is survived by a daughter, Bertha Patrick; grandson, Robbie Patrick; granddaughters, Kim Chappell and husband, Chris, and Nancy Horst and husband, Robert; great grandchildren, Dylan, Cassey, Cayden Chappell, Kayleigh Horst, and Erin Chandler; sister, Juanita Cooper; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be, Glenn Taylor, Jim Hendrixson, Frank Heyl, Ken Satterfield, Rick Wedrall, and Jim Nola. Honorary Pallbearers will be, James Hendrixson, R. L. Johnson, Henry Taylor, Billy Ramsey, and George Jacobs. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 8, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
