Celebration of life for Mr. Richard “Ricky” Allen Young, 70, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Ouachita Baptist Church, West Monroe, with Rev. Mike Holloway and Rev. Tim Mosher officiating.
Ricky was born October 1, 1950 in West Monroe, LA and went to be with his Lord and Savior March 1, 2021. He worked as an electrician and was an active member of the IBEW Local Union 446 for 35 years. He retired from the Swanson Center for Youth in 2007 after a brain injury left him disabled.
Ricky was an avid race fan and loved working on projects. His sense of humor and storytelling abilities endeared him to friends and strangers alike. He was a man of integrity, faithfully serving his church family and teaching hundreds of kids about the love of Jesus through the years. He was dearly loved and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lee and Emma Haley Young; grandson, Ethan Sanders; and several brothers, sisters, and family members he dearly loved.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dianne Young; daughters, Nikki Tolar (and husband, Justin), Emily Cory; sons, Justin Young (and wife, Maranda), Josh Young; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
