Graveside Service for Richard Harold Franklin, age 86, of Dubach, La will be Wednesday, June 14, 2023, 10:00 A.M. at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Dubach, LA.  Officiating will be Bro. Greg Tipton, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.  Visitation will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.

Richard was born May 10, 1937, to William M. and Edna Franklin of Vienna, LA.   He received his BS Accounting degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. and retired from Davison Transport. Richard was a proud veteran having served in the United States Air Force.  He was a member of the Mineral Springs Baptist Church and was also a member of the Rolling Hills Disaster Relief Team.  He loved gardening, spending time with his family, and especially time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Richard is preceded in death by his parents, William M. & Edna Franklin, his wife Betty Bearden Franklin, and his brother David Franklin.

He is survived by his children, Sylvia Franklin Bradshaw and husband Dan of Portland, TN, Jeanne Franklin of Dubach, LA, Paula Franklin of Dubach, LA; grandchildren, Devin Bradshaw and wife Katie of Franklin, TN, Dillon Bradshaw and wife Emilee of Franklin, TN; great grandchildren, Olivia Bradshaw, and Sam Bradshaw; siblings, Durwood Franklin and wife Cindy, Gary Franklin; and sister-in-law, Pat Franklin.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stephanie, Jessica, and to Allegiance Hospice for the care given to Richard in his time of need.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Mineral Springs Baptist Church Building Fund or Mineral Springs Cemetery Fund.
