Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.Reverend John C. Dudley was born March 18, 1928 in Jefferson County, Alabama and passed this life to his eternal home on January 10, 2008 in Monroe, LA. Rev. Dudley was in the ministry 62 years serving in the Church of God of Cleveland, Tennessee. He was the pastor of the West Monroe Church of God for 42 years and in service of the community and city. He served in the capacities of the Church of God as a state evangelism director, on state councils, youth boards, and other committees for years in his service. Rev. Dudley was educated in Birmingham, Alabama with ministerial studies. Rev. Dudley had a lengthy illness and was assisted by Rev. John Clint Thornton, a long time friend and confidant. Rev. Dudley will be missed by his family, church family, and community. He was a loving and caring pastor, husband, father, grandfather and friend.He is survived by his wife Louise Dudley of 55 years. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the church with family and friends. His daughter Cathy Bedenbender, husband Philip, and his son Jacky Dudley and wife Judy; grandchildren, Misti Chavis and husband Levi, Angel Younse and husband Joshua, Kristen Davis and husband Rusty, Philip ?JP? Bedenbender, Jr., Lindsay Dudley and step-granddaughter Lindsie Brockner; great-grandchildren Stephen, Catelyn, Cassidy, Annabelle, Abigail, and Kahlyn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and church family.Pallbearers will be Levi Chavis, Joshua Younse, Philip ?JP? Bedenbender, Jr., Alan Shields, Russell Miles, Frank Woolsey, Chad Shields, Andrew Shields, Brandon Marionneaux.Honorary pallbearers will be Reggie Russell, Jackie Stover, and Church of God ministers of the state.Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 5:00PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
