I remember growing up spending time with Brother Daughtey as he shopped in my mothers antique shop. He was always a gentleman with one of the best hearts, always thinking of others. He will be missed by eveyone that ever knew him. Heaven has truly gotten another angel.

We are sorry that we were unable to attend the wake or the funeral. Too many grandkid Christmas events. We have very fond memories of sitting on the back porch at my parents house and listening to Bro. Doughty and my dad tell many stories. Our prayers are with you all.

Len, Zilla, and Jason, My prayers are with you. Dayton was bigger than life, and a joy to all who knew him. I remember Aunt Effie being so proud of him. What a colorful family we had. My grandmother, his aunt, always called me Dayton Andre because I was always picking things and asking where is this from and how old is it. Many fond memories. God with you always, Mark Bradford

Bro. Doughty was loved by many! I got to know him personally during our 40 Days of Purpose small group meetings and get togethers thereafter. He entertained us with funny stories from his days in the ministry. We heard the same stories many times but they were always entertaining. It was my privilege to help plan and prepare for the wedding reception when he and Susie married. I also enjoyed seeing him carry the flag during the July 4th celebration at Temple. He proudly served his country as well as his God. Rest in peace, sweet friend.
