Regan Taylor, 85, of Downsville, La., passed away December 15, 2023 at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Monroe, La. “Ray” was born on November 30, 1938 to Marion and Ezzie Taylor. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years, Wanda Kerr Taylor, daughter, Cindy Taylor and his numerous brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., under the direction and care of  Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, Farmerville, La. Bro. Larry Walters will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment with military honors will be held following the service at Meridian Baptist Cemetery in Marion, La.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Helen Taylor, grandchildren, Jason Taylor and wife Karley, Jessica Taylor, great-grandsons, Joseph Taylor and Greyson Taylor and a sister, Jean McNeil.

Ray retired after 21 years of service to our country as a Master Sergeant+ in the United States Air Force. He had deployments in Korea and Vietnam. After his military retirement, he worked as a civil servant with the Postal Service for 16 more years before retiring again. He was a loving, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed dearly by all.
