A remarkable woman admired and loved by all who knew her.
Rebecca “Becky” June Baker Benbrook, age 70, peacefully went to be with The Lord on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Becky was born on April 7, 1953, in Searcy, Arkansas.
Becky was a successful businesswoman and kept everything in perfect order as the COO of DB Real Estate. She passionately lived life to the fullest, and cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, writing, and using her many artistic talents. Wherever Becky went, laughter and good times followed; she had a way of making others feel like she was their proudest supporter. A raconteur storyteller, Becky would entertain for hours with tales of her life experiences, travels, and time spent with good friends and family. Above all, Becky loved the Lord, her family and friends, and helping others. One thousand pages of superlatives could not adequately capture the overwhelming loss felt by those who loved her most.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Leamon Oral Baker and Doris June Dunn Baker, and first husband, John Stuart Carter. She is survived by two children, John Leamon Carter and Molly Morgan Benbrook Ducote.
John’s family includes wife Ashley McCain Carter and their three children, Layton and Ian Carter, Shelby Carter West, Shelby’s husband Brent West, and their three children, Gracyn, Bowe, and Jack West.
Molly’s family includes husband Andrew Ducote and their two children, Clark and June Ducote.
Becky’s two siblings include Thomas Lee Baker and Sarah Beth Baker Litzenberg.
Tom’s family includes his late wife, Deanie Baker, and their three children, Guy Campbell III, Toni Campbell Oakley, and the late Jennifer Lee Baker Wahl. Guy’s family includes two children, Jane and Claire Campbell. Toni’s family includes husband Clay Oakley.
Sarah Beth’s family includes husband Bill Litzenberg, and their three children, Lessie Litzenberg, Laura Litzenberg Hall, and Seth Litzenberg. Lessie’s family includes two children, Sidney Baker and Goldie Mae Litzenberg-Musser. Laura’s family includes husband Adam Hall, and their son Olle John Hall. Seth’s family includes wife Charity Baroni Litzenberg, and their daughter Frankie Love Litzenberg.
