Funeral services for Ray Chapman will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 15, 2023 at Calhoun First Baptist Church with Bro. Neil Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery, Calhoun, LA. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Ray was born January 27, 1936 in Calhoun, LA and passed away December 12, 2023 in Calhoun, LA. He retired from Coating and Laminating at age 62, he had an integral role in supporting the community water system, Indian Village Water; he farmed until age 85, raising beef cows and hay. Ray loved his family, his numerous friends, his Sunday School class at Calhoun First Baptist Church. He enjoyed early morning coffee at Kuntry Korner, breakfast at the Huddle House in Calhoun and sitting on the front porch or under the big shade tree in his front yard. He was an outstanding father and a friend to all who knew him. Ray was preceded in death by his first wife Glenda Marchbanks Chapman and wife Linda Caples Chapman; siblings Mildred, Lora, Sybil, Oliver, Garrett, Ed, Ruth and David.

Ray is survived by his sons Randy Chapman and Mike Chapman and wife Malinda; daughters Kim Sellers and husband Rodney, Lisa Lynch and husband Guy and Chris Canterberry and husband Lee; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
