Memorial services for Felix Ray Armstrong, Jr. age 61, of Ruston, LA will be held Monday, September 12, 2016, at Temple Baptist Church Chapel in Ruston, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM with the service to follow at 11:00 AM. Officiating the service will be Dr. Reggie Bridges.Ray was born October 22, 1954, and passed away September 9, 2016.He is preceded in death by his father, Felix Ray Armstrong; his mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Smith; sister-in-law, Pati Smith and his brother-in-law, Rob Carter.He is survived by his wife, Peni Armstrong of Ruston, LA; daughter, Emily Armstrong of Rock Hill, SC; son, Felix Ray Armstrong, III of Bossier City, LA; daughter-in-law, Jessica Armstrong of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Avery and Felix James Armstrong both of Bossier City, LA; mother, Jo Lynn Armstrong; sisters, Linda Carter, Kayla and David Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.Honorary Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Ray Alexander, Mike Branch, Don Emerson, Michael Franks, Larry Popp, Larry Caraway, John Carpenter, Buster Caver, Don Cooper, Scotty Futrell, Heath Gean, Mickey Green, Toby Hammons, Gary Hill, Jamie Hughes, Dustin Johnson, Scott Kidd, Doug Marquardt, Paul McMahen, Andrew Morris, Caleb Richards, Odell Snead, Brad White, Mark White, Mark Woods, and fellow Emerson and Ada-Taylor Coworkers.Ray was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was also a member of the LA Forestry Association and worked for Weyerhauser for 39 years. Ray priority was taking care of his family.
