William Randy Ford was born on October 25, 1965 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away June 29, 2023 in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a loving father, uncle, grandfather, son, brother and friend. The Man, The Myth, The Legend, Randy Ford was a hardworking businessman, in the Earthmoving, Trucking and Construction Industries while raising his 3 sons, Wesley, Ethen and Trevor, (multiple nieces, nephews and several of their friends) along the way.
Randy was the type of person that would give you the shirt off of his back and maintained an open-door policy for ALL of his loved ones. His interests included adventuring the great outdoors, hunting, boating, fishing, and enjoying life. Randy was one-of-a-kind, with his playful sense of humor, daring attitude, smooth dancing skills and topped it all off with a sleek, country style of his own.
Throughout Randy’s life, he overcame extremely difficult battles, with limited/unavailable resources but had a reputation for being fearless, brave, resilient, strong, daring, honest, caring, loyal and strived to do the best he could with any given circumstance, while also being there for his family/friends.
A Great Man has suffered and lost his life entirely too soon due to a multifaceted, dysfunctional living ecosystem that includes healthcare, education, legislation and basic human rights. Randy and the rest of humanity deserve to have access to quality healthcare needs and basic resources to ensure a sustainable, functional, even comfortable quality of life.
We must firmly stand together as family, friends, and people of the world. We must never stop trying to make the necessary changes to promote healthy and functional lifestyles for ourselves and for the ones that we deeply love and care for. This is something that Randy would have wanted, strived for and pursued had he been given the opportunity.
“Taste and see that I am good. This command contains and invitation to experience my living presence. It also contains a promise. The more you experience Me, the more convinced you become of my goodness. This knowledge is essential to your faith-walk. When adversities strike, the human instinct is to doubt My goodness. My ways are mysterious, even to those who know ME intimately. As heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways and thoughts higher than your ways and thoughts. Do not try to fathom My ways. Instead, spend time enjoying me and experiencing My goodness.” “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young; Psalm 34.8; Isaiah 55:8-9
Rest in peace, Randy. Until we meet again. AMEN
