Services for Ralph Steven Steve Whitlock will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 14th in Feazel Chapel at First Baptist Church of West Monroe. Visitation is Thursday, February 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA. Additional visitation is from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Dr. Dwight Munn and Dr. Lionel Crowell will officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA. Steve was born on July 2, 1953 to Loyce Barnett Whitlock and the late Ralph Whitlock. Steve went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2014 at his home surrounded by family and friends.Steve is survived by his Mother; his loving and devoted wife, Memory Perryman Whitlock; his daughters, Mandi and her husband Eric Mardis, Sandi and her husband David Easterling; son Steven Whitlock and his wife Brittney; grandchildren, Mark Mardis, MariClair Easterling, Laynie Whitlock and soon-to-be Beau Whitlock; his brother, David Whitlock and wife DeeDee; Mother-in-law, Peggy Perryman; brothers-in-law, Jim Perryman and wife Linda, and Rob Smith and wife Pam; and many nieces and nephews.A very special thank you and much love to: Patty Jones, his Home Health Nurse who became part of our family; to our Life Group at First West for all their love and support through this journey; to our extended family Ronnie and Rissa Davidson, Kathy Danna, Jim Bonds and Howard and Marie Coy who walked through this journey with us all the way.Steve was a member of First West Baptist Church in West Monroe. He worked at Guide Corporation and was retired. Steve loved fishing and hunting but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Steve had a special gift of making everyone feel special and loved. Even in the midst of his illness he had a way of showing others the grace of God through his sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face no matter how he felt. He will be truly missed by all.
