Graveside services for Phillip”KK”Miller, age 74 of Brenham, Texas, will be at 11:AM,Monday, November 27, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens, 8729 Cypress St., West Monroe, LA.
Phillip was born on February 9, 1949, to Wilfred and Marjorie Miller of West Monroe, LA. Concluding a 3 year long battle with cancer, he died peacefully at home in Brenham, TX on October 28, 2023, with his wife, Sheralyn, at his side.He was blessed to have enjoyed visits from a multitude of family members and friends, lifelong and recent, during the last few weeks of his life.
Phillip spent his life, living it to the fullest,and more often than not, with a young at heart “devil may care” attitude.After a career in the oil & gas sector, in 2014 he retired to the rolling hills of Washington County, Texas.His greatest joys in life were hanging out with his dogs, kids or grandkids, watching college football,fishingorplayinggolf,or simply hitting golf balls across the pasture. Phillip also loved visiting with his buddies, whether face to face or on the phone, recanting stories of his youth, of which there are many.He was a huge animal lover and never met an animal in need that he wouldn’t help. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents,Wilfred and Marjorie Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Sheralyn Miller of Brenham, TX;his sons Kevin Miller and wife Becky of West Monroe, LA, Phillip Miller, Jr. and wife Tiffany of Bossier City, LA,stepdaughter Lauren Moore of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren Jordan Miller, Brooks Miller, Dylan Moore, Jude Moore and Scarlett Moore; his brother Richard Miller of Columbia, LA; his sister Ann Mayo of West Monroe, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will beKevinMiller,DickKeyser, Bill Phillips, Ronny Culp,Hank Hamilton and George Foster.
