Peggy Hillier Thompson departed this world March 25, 2022, bound for the Promised Land to be with her Lord. Her beloved husband, Dr. Ron Thompson, left this world on October 24, 2013. She had been eager to see him again ever since. They had enjoyed 53 years ofmarriage. There was never a day she didn’t miss him and never a day she didn’t want to tell him she loved him. Now they are together in that eternal home where there are no tears, no sorrow, and no separation.

This proved to be a great asset, as Ron continued his education from undergraduate to PhD over the first 12 years of their marriage. Through every step of the way, across two states and several hospital locations, Peggy’s work helped support the family.
After Ron accepted a professorship at Louisiana Tech, the family settled in Ruston. Peggy was employed at Lincoln General hospital as a medical transcriptionist for 25 years.
Peggy is also preceded in her death by both of her parents G. H. (Pete) Hillier and Blanche Blanton Hillier.
