Paul was born in Baton Rouge, LA to Patricia and Val Ringo on August 15, 1952. The family later moved back to Monroe, LA where Paul grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Neville High School in 1970. He served two years in the US Army and graduated from LA Tech University. Paul later attained a BS in Nursing from McNeese State and worked in the field of nursing for many years. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; Dr. Val Ringo and Patricia Ates Ringo.Paul loved reading and continuous learning, the outdoors, from scuba diving and photography to working a garden, cooking and canning. He was a scholar and an evangelist. He studied history and Holy Scripture. He loved God, Jesus Christ and all the mysteries and abundant blessings experienced through living a spiritual and reverent life. He was generous and kind and would lay hands on and pray for you. We have lost a great soul but Heaven has gained one.Paul is survived by his brothers; Brian Ringo, West Monroe and Chris Ringo and wife, Victoria of Monroe; sister, Robin Maran and husband Dr. Antti Maran of West Monroe; stepmother; Mrs. Bettie Ringo Philips of Monroe and stepbrothers, Mack and Kim Hogue of Arlington, TX; one Aunt; Brenda Ringo Baumgardner and husband Bill of Baton Rouge, LA; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.There will be a visitation and memorial service Saturday, March 10, 2018, visitation will be from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, 1321 N 7th Street, West Monroe, LA 71291, service will be held at 4:00 PM. Pastor Aaron Hicks will be officiating.Pastor Hicks will also officiate a memorial service for Paul in Newton, TX on March 17, 2018.
