Dear Alton. Cherie, and Rick, Sending sincere sympathy to you all in the passing of Pat. I knew all of you from FBC and you kids from WMHS. I taught you, Rick. I think it was Jr, English. I felt I got to know your Mom better at The Cutting Club, where we both got our hair done. Our appointments were often on the same day and we talked and reminisced. We also talked about our children and grands! We laughed at some of their shenanigans, At our last visit she looked so good and said she felt good. I was shocked to hear of her death. She is now enjoying Heaven and she left a wonderful legacy for her children and grandchildren. Hers was a life well-lived!I shall miss our visits and her. May the Lord give you all that peace that passes all understanding in the days ahead. With love and prayers, Camille and Lee Adair

I loved Pat. I loved her most when she took care of her Great Aunt Irene while battling her own illness. I then realize the beauty of kindness and goodness she has for others. Jesus has her now. Thank you for all you have done. Linda Wells

Pat was a beautiful person who lived her faith in Jesus out loud for all to see. She will be so missed by so many, and this world will be less bright without her. There is such comfort and peace because we all know she is with The Lord and we will see her again.

It was sad to hear of Pat’s passing. I am niece of Pat on her husband’s side. You could always have a nice conversation with her even as a child. Since she was a teacher, she would always ask how I was doing in school. After I was first married, my husband and I drove across the country from California to New Orleans to visit friends in Metairie. This was before cell phones. Our friends were unreachable on their home or office phone and time was closing in for us to find a place to stay, so I called my mom and got Uncle Buddy and Aunt Pat’s phone number in Mandeville. I hadn’t seen them in years since moving to California. I called around 5:30. I said this when she answered the phone, “Hey Aunt Pat, this is Kelli, your niece. Chris and I are in New Orleans and we were supposed to stay with friends in Metairie, but they are not home yet. Can we stay the night with you?” There was a long pause and she of course said yes. They took us out to dinner and we gossiped about the family. It was a nice evening. She will be missed.

What a beautiful obituary. Pat had a successful, blessed life with so many awesome accomplishments - but her highest accomplishment was her family. She was surely blessed with a loving husband and two distinguished children and many grandchildren. What a legacy to leave the world! We know where she is and she's more alive than before, living on - in a place of complete love and joy.

Pat was a beautiful person inside and out. I am happy Pat is in a wonderful place with no more suffering, but I am sad she is no longer in our world. May The Lord hold her family close and bless them with love and peace until they are with her again. A friend and classmate of '65. Judy Walls Poole
