Funeral services for Patsy Jean Wilbanks, age 89, will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.  Visitation will be at 1:00 P.M. until time of service time at the funeral home. Officiating will be Father Mark Toups. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Pat was born in Monroe, LA on January 14, 1933 and passed away in Tallulah, LA on December 22, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn “Buddy” Doyle Wilbanks; daughter, Glenda Renee Wilbanks; son, Glenn Doyle Wilbanks II; brother, Malcolm Rudolph Patterson; and her parents, Bertha and Elton Patterson.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Dawn Wilbanks Toups and her husband, Jon and Wendy Wilbanks Marsh and her husband, Mack; granddaughters, Alicia Poynter and her husband, Gary, Kristin DePrang and her husband, Heath, Taylor Toups and Brittany Pierce and her husband, Tipton; grandsons, Nathan Toups, Zachry Toups, Cole Marsh and Samuel Marsh; and numerous beloved great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family members.

Pat was born and raised in Monroe, LA and spent her life raising her family. She and her husband, Buddy were owners of the popular Country Cobbler Shoe store for many years. Seeing the need, as Monroe was growing, Pat soon became a successful real estate broker with Coldwell Banker/Group One Realty. She delighted in helping people and couples find and purchase their first home. Her repeat clients and their referrals allowed her to have a successful career until her retirement at the age of 80.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Toups, Zachry Toups, Cole Marsh and Samuel Marsh.
