Funeral services for Mr. Cathey will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, September 21, 2007 in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Monroe Memorial Park Monroe, LA under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA. Mr. Cathey was born December 3, 1940 in Waverly, LA and passed away September 18, 2007 in Monroe, LA. Mr. Cathey retired with over 20 years of service with General Motors. Pat was an avid fisherman, loved ¨The Blues, and enjoyed playing practical jokes on his family and coworkers. He was preceded in death by parents, Michael and Vella Sykes Cathey; brother, Charles ¨Mike Cathey; sister, Peggy Pringle; step-daughter, Malissa Blakenship. Mr. Cathey is survived by his wife, Peaches Cathey; son, Mark and wife Kelly Cathey; daughter, Seletia Lewis and husband Ronnie; step-daughters, Cindy Robinson and husband Gary, Nancy and husband Charles Sawyer; sisters, Elizabeth Brockner, Yvonne Clowers, Ann Avlos and husband, George; brother, Michael E. Cathey; 8 grandchildren and number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
