Prov. 31: 25-28 Services for Mrs. Omia Rice, 83, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, February 16, 2007 at the Pentecostals of Twin Cities in West Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Foster, Rev. Fred Foster and Kimberly Rice Godwin. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Rice had a deep love for Jesus her Savior and for all people. She had a wonderful smile and everyone who met her became a friend. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother who will be deeply missed. Mrs. Rice was a wonderful homemaker and faithful servant to her husband and four sons, and always made a cheerful home in the many places she lived, as she followed her husband to Northern California where he worked in the lumber industry. The family is truly grateful to the many caregivers for each kindness extended to our loved one during her illnesses, including Landmark Nursing Home, Glenwood Hospital, Cornerstone Hospital and Dr. Don Hammett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randell Rice; parents George and Lena Cox Rolen and siblings Elsie Shipp, Marshall Rolen and Verna Cain Stinoff. Survivors; Bill Rice and Sharon, Waymon Rice and Barbara, Dean Rice and Michelle all of West Monroe; and Garlon Rice and Toni of Tucker, Georgia. Daughter; Mary Ann Copeland of West Monroe; five grandsons; Tim Rice, Jim Rice, Michael Rice, Mitchell Rice, and Chad Rice; five granddaughters; Charissa Rolfe, Stacie Rice, Kimberly Godwin, Kristi Pittard and Erica Guerrero; 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Church ushers will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday from 5PM until 8PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
