A graveside service for Nieta Faye Hawthorne will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Providence Memorial Cemetery Winnsboro, LA. Dr. Fred Foster and Pastor Jason Ramsey will officiate.The angels rejoice, for heaven has gained a Saint. Nieta Faye Hawthorne was beloved and cherished; we are thankful to have shared in her life. She loved us as her children and we loved her as our Sister and Mother. Nieta loved her family and enjoyed fishing on the river bank. More than that were the family gatherings and fish fry.Nieta was a scholar of His Word and shared her knowledge and wisdom with all. The K.J.V. was her standard and used it to guide her life.In her early years, she enjoyed being a part of the 4H club and spreading God Word. She was a homemaker, gardener, wonderful cook and later worked as a food service clerk at NLU/ULM. It was during these years that she reached out to and positively impacted so many young college kids with her loving kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents Augusta Drew Loftin and Myrtle McConathy Loftin of Bannister, LA; her sisters JoAnn Butler and Billie Bennett; her husband Fred Hawthorne and her son Kenneth Jake Hawthorne.She is survived by her daughter Linda Tanner and husband Paul; son Jimmy Lindsay and wife Barbara; son Allen and wife Cheryl; son Gary and wife Anne; son Robert and wife Peggy;sister Joy Lindsay; brother Joseph A D Lofton; 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 11 great- great grandchildren.God speed Sister Nieta Faye Hawthorne.
