I just recently learned of the passing of my friend, Nancy Madden Mistretta, or just as I knew her, Nancy Richardson. I have been trying to reach her over the past several months on both Facebook as well as her cell phone with no luck. I feared something may be wrong. I discovered why I have been unable to reach her to my dismay and disbelief. My heart is deeply saddened learning of her passing. Nancy and I met years ago at a Regis Hair Salon in the Longview, Texas Mall. I was around 22. She was in her 30's. I had popped in to get a hair cut. Nancy cut my hair that day. She was intrigued when she learned I was working on a music album at the time, and she was full of questions. That day, we became the best of friends and were almost inseparable for the longest time until she moved away to the Houston, Texas area. Nancy took a part time job at Glamour Shots at the Galleria and had asked me to come down for a visit; that she wanted to do some fun modeling for the company. The picture you see here (if it gets uploaded) was one the company featured. We had a great time that afternoon during the shoot. In time, she got married and life happened. She went about her life and I went about mine. Several years had passed. About five or so years ago, we re-connected via Facebook and then began making the occasional phone call just to chat, but sadly, we never managed to make a visit in person happen again. I am now in my 50's and Nancy was around 70. Nancy eventually moved back to Louisiana a few years back. We continued to stay in touch. Through all the crazy times in our lives, our ups and downs, through all the laughter and silly arguments, we still remained special friends. Nancy, I will always hold your memory dear to my heart. Thank you for your heart, for all the fun times, and most importantly, your beautiful friendship. You will be missed very much. May you forever rest with the angels, my friend.

This really breaks my heart. I was recently informed that my dear friend Nancy passed away. We met while working at The buckingham retirement community and instantly became best friends. Despite our 30 year age gap we had so much in common. Mostly our love for fashion. She will forever live in my heart!! Rest easy My Nancy from Daphanie :)

I just learned my dear friend, Nancy went to be with the Lord. I have tried calling and messaging Nancy since August and have not been able to reach her. I woke up today thinking of Nancy; the feeling was so strong that it was like she was communicating to me through her spirit. Something made me look at obituaries and there she was; beautiful Nancy inside and out, in the arms of the Lord. I love you Nancy. Someday we will meet again in Heaven. Rest In Peace, my friend. To the family: I am so sorry for your loss. We talked about many family members and she had such wonderful stories to tell about each of you and how much she loved you. Peace be with you and God be be your side in this sad time. Please know Nancy is at peace and happy in Heaven. Love, Judy Tucker
