Dorothy and I are saddened to hear of Nan's passing. We lived next door to Nan and Tom during the 2 times they lived in Memphis, TN. Totally about 12 years. Nan and Tom were two of the best neighbors we ever had. They were always ready to take care of our house and children when we were away.

We will be with you virtually at Aunt Nan's funeral tomorrow. We are so sorry for her passing, but have peace that because of her faith in Jesus that she is in heaven with all the Saints! Much love to all of you Tom and Bart & Cheryl, Holly and all those beautiful grandchildren! When you and Nan lived in Martinsburg 2 doors down from Grandma and Grandaddy, I remember going to visit Aunt Nan. I think I just walked in the front door and surprised her with visits when I was like 5 or 6 years old. Delaware to Alabama Ave was only 2 blocks!! I remember I would love watching her put on her makeup and "do" her hair! She would tease it and smooth it and spray it with hairspray and I thought she was the most beautiful woman! Always full of class with her voice of velvet laced with that beautiful southern accent. Praying for love of family and peace from our Father during this time. Love, Deb

To the entire Tom Hammond family, our family was sad to hear Nan passed, but happy to hear Holly and Bart had been able to visit and see her close to the end, we're sure that was a comfort for her and you all. We know Nan had been struggling with health issues, so knowing her strong faith it is comforting to know she is healed now of her broken body and we hope that gives you peace as well. I was reading the obituary and the memory of Nan teaching me southern etiquette, specifically how to properly set a table for brunch at the farm will always stick with me and I will forever remember which side of the plate to set the utensils. We are sorry we cannot be with you for the service in person but know our prayers and love are with you all. Be well and cherish celebrating Nan's life. Love, Bo, Angela, Jillian, and Addison Hammond
