Memorial services for Myrtle Rentz Mitchiner will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 4, 2011 at Jackson Street Church of Christ in Monroe with Rev. Don DeLukie officiating. A Graveside service was held Thursday, March 3rd at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mrs. Mitchiner was born on March 5, 1911 in Sikes, LA and passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Monroe, Louisiana. She was predeceased by her husband, Sam Mitchiner of Lake Providence, LA. She moved to Monroe, LA in the late 1970's. She was beloved wife and aunt. Traveling with her friends gave her much joy and happiness. She cherished her many friends in North Louisiana and was a faithful member of the Jackson Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Mitchiner is survived by her niece, Martha Jane Me-J O'Neal and husband, John O'Neal; her great nephew and nieces, Tom O'Neal and wife, Gay, Jane McAfee and husband, Larry, Jo Brueggeman and husband, George, and Pam Rundle and husband, Phil; great great nephews and nieces; Amy, Martha, Claire and Kelly O'Neal, Mary Lawrance and Mitch McAfee, George, John and William Brueggeman and Parker Browne. We extend our deep appreciation to her caregivers who gave her friendship and comfort, Clotile Johnson, Clara Simmons, Bessie Lewis, Nadine Rogers and Debbie Roton. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 4, 2011 at Jackson Street Church of Christ under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Memorial may be made to the Jackson Street Church of Christ.
