Services for Myrtis Davis Morgan will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Ruston with visitation from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Interment will be at Sibley Cemetery in Choudrant, Louisiana under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Ruston. Reverend Bill Bearden will officiate the service.

Myrtis was born on August 1, 1928 in Ouachita Parish and passed away on November 30, 2021 In Choudrant, LA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lois Davis; her brother, John Edward Davis; and great granddaughter, Zoe Matthews.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda Matthews (Don) and Glenda Adams (Ronnie); son, John Wesley Morgan (Tammy); brothers, Jimmy Davis and Jerry Davis; Sister, Myra McGraw; 9 grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren and 3 Great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Myrtis worked for many years as a bookkeeper for an insurance company. She was a member of Alabama Presbyterian Church. She loved to work in her flower beds and her garden.  She also loved to cook Sunday dinner for her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be James Johnson, Jacob Matthews, Jason Coleman, Jason Tucker, John D. Davis and Jason Barrett.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Johnson, III, TM-2, Don Matthews, Heath Sanford, John Sanford and Jared Sanford.
