Funeral services for Marjorie Lea Douglas Cox will be 3:00 P.M., Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Rev. James Tate and Rev. Butch Pilcher will officiate. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe.Marjorie was born September 1, 1928 in Clarks, LA and passed away December 1, 2017 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of The Assembly Church for more than 40 years. Her parents pastored and founded churches across Louisiana. Over the years, Marjorie daily devotional time was reading and writing the Bible. She retired from State Farm Insurance Company after 20 years of service. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending her time cooking for family and friends. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Elmer and Annie Douglas; step-mother, Peggy Douglas; sister, Jenell Castle; brother, Eual Douglas.Marjorie is survived by her husband, Elton Doyle Cox; son, Michael Lynn Cox and wife Penny Cash Cox; sister, Virginia Boothe and husband Daryl; brother, Boyd Douglas and wife DeeDee; grandchildren, Brittany Cox and Joshua Cox; numerous nieces and cousins.Pallbearers will be Joshua Cox, Eual Douglas, Jr., Charles Douglas, Rod Douglas, Rick Martin, and Larry Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry T.
