Mrs. Cecil Lula Lewis

Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil Lula Lewis, age 85, will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 29, 2010, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe.  Officiating will be Marvin Wink, Bro. Rick Crandall and Randy Wilbanks.  Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe. Mrs. Lewis was born on July 17, 1925 and passed away on July 26, 2010, surrounded by her family.   She was retired from Manville. After retirement, she continued to work for Bancroft Bag. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Boice Almon Lewis; her parents, Annie and Bert Schanks; brother, Bert Schanks, Jr.; sisters, Ethel Wink, Bethel Wilbanks, Elizabeth Price Block and Fannie Mae Campbell and son-in-law, James A. Brister. She is survived by her daughters, Alanna Kay Easterling and her husband, J.D.; Sandra Brister and Vickie Crew; sons, Rickie D. Lewis and his wife, Nancy; and Gary W. Lewis and his wife, Donna; grandchildren, Craig Easterling, and his wife, Erin; Jay Easterling and his wife, Amy; Jeremy Lewis and his wife, Jeannie, Alanna Lewis, Jana Skye Brister and Lacey Jae Brister; great grandchildren, Turner Joel Easterling, Mary Kathleen Easterling, Lily Ann Easterling, Javin Tab Lewis and David Wayne Lewis; sister, Margaret Ann Thomas and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Craig Easterling, Jay Easterling, Jeremy Lewis, Jimmy McKnight, Gene Easterling, Don Mims and Delbert Wilbanks. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Lacey Brister and Alanna Lewis.
