Funeral services for George W. Cowart, 89, of Farmerville, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with  Bro. Terry Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Ward Chapel Cemetery in Farmerville, LA. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

George Cowart was born on February 22, 1931 in Jackson, Mississippi and passed away March 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by parents, Mack and Evie Cowart, sister Doris Stennett; brothers, Jim, Jerald, A.T. and Johnny Cowart.

George is survived by his children, Wayne Cowart and friend Linda of Farmerville; daughter, Cindy Pettit and husband Stacey of Rayville; grandchildren Heather of Mansfield, CT. Heath of Concord, New Hampshire, Josh of Rayville,LA,  John of New Orleans, LA and Alyssa of Rayville, LA; special nieces and nephew, Melba Clark, Kathy Walters and husband John, Joan McElroy and husband Terry and Mike Stennett; special great nieces and nephews, Stacey Bagwell and husband Jason, Angie Clark and Tony Stennett and wife Rochelle.

Pallbearers will be Josh Cowart, John Cowart, Mike Stennett, Dylan Blaylock, John Walters and Tyler Pennington.

The family would like to thank all the Drs. and nursing staff on the 5^th floor at St. Francis Medical Center for their kindness and patience.
