Services for Mr. Charles W. Hicks, 63, of Swartz, La. will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, La. Rev. Collin Wimberly will be officiating with interment to follow at Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, La. Mr. Hicks was born on June 8, 1942 in Monroe, La. and passed away on April 28, 2006 in Monroe, La. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lida Hicks and a brother, Melvin ¨Bubba Hicks. He is survived by his children: Todd Hicks and wife, Penny; Ryan Hicks; Brian Hicks and wife, Teresa; Grandson: Wesley Hicks; sisters: Ada Howell and husband, Robert; and Brenda Baker; his girlfriend: Chasidy Freeland and her daughter, Casidy; and many friends who loved Charles dearly. Pallbearers will be: David Ray Speir, Johnnie Ray Capps, Buckshot Benson, Howard Townsend, Dennis Scott, and Oscar Hosey.
