Funeral services for Mrs. Miranda Heard Puckett, 98, of Sterlington will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday September 20, 2010 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Bro. John Dowd will be officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe. Mrs. Puckett was born September 15, 1912 in Lisbon, La and died September 18, 2010 in Monroe. Some of Mrs. Puckett≠s favorite pastimes were sewing, quilting and ceramics. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sterlington. Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Charlie Richard Puckett; a grandson, George L. Chip Luffey Jr. and son-in-law, Sam McGough; and 1 brother and 4 sisters. Survivors include her four children, Charles G. Puckett Pat of Sterlington, LA, Lael McGough of West Monroe, LA, Jane Luffey George of Monroe, LA and Martha Williams Lonnie of Conway, AR; 11 grandchildren, Johnny Puckett, Tommy Puckett, Karen Puckett, Scott McGough, Lynda Telano, Samantha Lunsford, Lisa Marks, Laurie Luffey, Miranda Breard, Emily Boyle and Amanda McCool; and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Sterlington Building Fund or the charity of givers choice.
