Funeral services for Mildred Louine Freeman, 84, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Christ Church Chapel, West Monroe, LA. Rev. Tom Lowe will be officiating and assisted by Jackie Freeman, Ryan Lowe, and Roy Duffey. Interment will follow at Bonne Idee Cemetery, Mer Rouge, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Freeman was born July 29, 1926 in Mer Rouge, LA and passed away April 2, 2011 in West Monroe. After high school graduation, Mildred received a degree in business and at the age of 18 was teaching shorthand and typing. Mildred retired as an administrative assistant. She was an active member of the V.F.W Auxillary for many years. Mildred and her husband moved to Lake LaFourche to enjoy their retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, Thomas Jack Freeman, Jr. She is survived by four children, Sue Saucer Jerry, Shirley Freeman, Thomas Jack Freeman III Sandy, Billie Smith Kevin; two sisters Omega Bienz Carl and Glenda Temple; seven grandchildren, Jeri Tarver D C, Bubba Saucer Wendi, Deborah Giger Brian, Jackie Freeman, Jacquelyn McCarty Mark, Kellie Patrick Mike, and Trinity McMahan; and eleven great grandchildren, numerous nieces nephews, and other relatives. Pallbearers are D. C. Tarver, Bubba Saucer, Brian Giger, Jason Saucer, David Roark, and Heath Goldman. Special thanks to the staff at Ridgecrest Nursing Home and ICU nurse, Mrs. Jackie Wilson. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Christ Church Chapel in West Monroe.
