Michael Fitzgerald “Patrick” Moran

Michael Fitzgerald Moran, “Patrick” our kind-hearted, witty, and considerate brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023 in Bastrop, LA where he was lovingly cared for by the memory care staff at Legrand Healthcare Center.
Michael was born on May 3, 1967 in New Orleans, LA and grew up in Baton Rouge. He attended Catholic High School and McKinley Magnet High and also LSU where he graduated with a degree in literature and linguistics.
After graduating from college, he moved to California, where he attended Mueller College and Somatherapy Institute Massage and started a career in hospitality as a bellman, bell captain, and concierge working at several boutique hotels in San Francisco, Palm Springs, San Diego, and finally New Orleans.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Patrick Moran and Joan Wright Moran. He is survived by his sisters, Monica Moran King, Melissa Moran Saye (John), and Meghan Moran Evans, along with nine nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own.
A private family service to celebrate his life will be held in Baton Rouge at a later date.
