Funeral services for Micah Victor David, 24, of Olla, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 8, 2010, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Teddy Sharbono and Rev. Shawn Barnett will officiate. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe. Micah was born December 30, 1985, in Monroe, LA and passed away December 5, 2010, in Olla, LA. He was active in the Louisiana National Guard and volunteered for overseas service in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, he had numerous awards including the Combat Action Badge. MicahØÇø_s hobbies were fishing and gun collecting. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna David; uncle, Victor P. David; and grandfather, Victor B. David. He is survived by his wife, Lacey Parker David; son, Hayden Victor David; father, Mike David and his wife, Carol David; sisters, Traci M. David and Amy M. Neel; brother, Adam B. Wayland; grandparents, Charlotte David and Judy Phillips; numerous other family members. Pallbearers will be Brad Davis, Houston Byrne, Stephen Roberts, Michael Yelverton, Jeff Marzula and Jonathan Moore. The family would like to express thanks to the Louisiana National Guard, the Wounded Warriors Program of North Little Rock, AR and First Baptist Church of Haughton, LA. Memorial donations may be made in Micah's name to Soldiers' Angels at www.soldiersangels.org. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe.

i love and miss you dad

Mike, I am so very sorry. i wish someone would have let me know. Michael and I would both like to tell you how very sorry we are for you loss. Micah grew to be a wonderful man. And will be greatly miss. If you ever need to talk contact Mom. She has my numbers.

Micah the one thing I remember the most is your honesty with me. I always had to be careful what I asked because I knew you would tell me the truth even when it hurt and I thank you for that. I love you micah and I regret losIng touch. Mr Mike I'm so sorry. Micah was the son any parent would have been proud of and I know you are proud of him.

i don't know what to say here.... i can't believe he's really gone he was one of my bestfriends way back when and i regret not staying in touch as much as i could have i spoke with micah last year and wish i could have spoke with him more i'm soooo sorry to mike, carol, traci, amy, adam, micah's wife and his baby.... i can only imagine what you guys are going through. i wish i could have made it to the service today, i hope that everyone can stay strong right now even though it may seem impossible. i've tried not to think about it to keep myself from breaking down but its so hard and its so hard to fathom. i loved micah very much and i will miss him and think about him always he will never be forgotten and will always have a place in my heart!

I knew Micah since he was 7 years old. He was always energetic and fun. He will be missed!

Mr. Mike and family just want to say how sorry I am for your loss. Micah was a wonderful person I cherish getting to know him from a chld to a adult he was always kind and caring and would give me a hug some times when he would see me. I am blessed to have known him my prayers are with you all.

I got to meet Micah at the Yellow Ribbon some time back and we talked briefly about his deployment with my son. You will be remembered and missed by me and my family forever. My prayers to the families.

I am truly sad for the person lost to this world. Micah was a dear friend and always willing to help ANYONE in a time of need. This world lost a great person and will be remember fondly in my heart.

Micah was one of the few people I called a friend. He was a good natured, friendly, fun loving person that you could always count on and he will be missed very much. My prayers go out to his family, I am very sorry for your loss.

I thank God for the priveledge of meeting you,knowing you for however short a time.I will see you again...sometime,somewhere.Thanks for the memories Micah.

Sorry for your loss, My prayers are with you during this difficult time. I took care of Micah @ SFMC and even though He was going thru a lot He was always pleasant and humbled.He was really an exceptional young man and I know He will be truly missed. God bless.

I didn't see you very often but when I did you were always laughing and having fun no matter what you were doing. You saw the best in even the worst of things and always tried to keep everyone laughing and happy. I am so happy I was able to see you last month and visit you and see you happy and cracking jokes. We will miss you so much and know that you are no longer in pain and are in a great place. We should all look at you as an example on how to live a happy and fulfilled life. We love you! Justin and I are so sorry we are not able to come to the funeral due to the army.... You know how it is. We will be thinking about all the family. Adam I am so sorry.

Micah you were one of the happiest people I have ever met. Even in the worst of circumstances you were always positive. I pray everyone learned from you and uses your positivity to get through the sadness of your passing. I love you and will miss you! To Mike, Carol, Adam, Amy, and Traci I will keep y'all in my prayers.

Micah, you were truly a remarkable person. You made an impact in the lives of so many people. I for one will never forget what a wonderful person you were. Thank you for your strength and courage. He was an awesome person, always smiling. My Mamaw, Shirley Washington used to babysit him when he was a child, and he was good friends with my sister Heather Garsee. It was an honor and a privillage to have served in OEF 09 - 10 with him in the 927th Sapper Co. I have nothing but GREAT memories of Micah as he loved to laugh, and loved life. May God bless him and his family.
