Funeral services for Merlene Hoof, 85, of Monroe, LA will be held 10:00 AM Monday, April 11, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Reverend Harold Hart, Reverend Don Hart, and Reverend Jessie Truitt will be officiating. Interment will be at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mrs. Hoof was born March 24, 1926 in Leakesville, MS and passed away April 8, 2011 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Bible Missionary Church where she served as an Elder. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sanders Hoof, and two grandsons, Chad Hoof and Brad Hoof. She is survived by one son, William David Hoof and wife Gail; three daughters, Carolyne Yakaboski and husband Albin, Patsy Hart and husband Harold, Darla Hart and husband Don; granddaughters, Regina Hackett, Tamara Yakaboski, Jennifer Nordby and husband Jacob, Christie Hart, and Karen Hart and husband Alan; grandsons, Anthony Yakaboski and wife Jennifer, Craig Hart, and Harold Hart, Jr. and wife Michelle; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Dowd, Barry Dowd, Danny Neal, Brad Sickmiller, Tim Lawton, and Alan Craven. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Yakaboski, Albin Yakaboski, Harold Hart, and Don Hart.
