My thoughts and prayers are with Melvin's family. Blessed to have him as a friend and to have worked with Melvin through our different roles at Lincoln Parish School Board, especially during the Bus Driving courses he taught at the school board office. He would always arrive early before classes began to make sure the "technology" was working and ready to roll. Cheering on each of our grandsons, Brycen and Max, and their teammates from the bleachers and stands during basketball and football games will be a treasured memory. May precious memories provide each of you a peace and comfort in the coming days.

Mac and I go back to high school 1973. He was my oldest and dearest friend. We had some pretty fun times together hunting and fishing all over north la. He was a friend that had your 6 whenever it was needed. I could always depend on him to help out on just about anything needed. I moved away in 1989 and we kind of lost track of each other until 3 months ago when he called me out of the blue to tell me he was dying.........I have lost my best friend. Thanks for always being their Mac.
