Funeral services for Melba Spillers Snow, age 69, of Choudrant, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Southside Baptist Church in Ruston, LA.. Rev. Oda “Tuck” Roberts and Rev. Tommy Gray will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Longstraw Cemetery in Choudrant, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Mrs. Snow was born on September 20, 1943 in Ruston, LA and passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013, in Ruston, LA. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Ruston. Melba also enjoyed many types of crafting, but one of her greatest loves was the many children that she cared for in her home. She was loved by all and will be missed by anyone that met her. Melba is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Snow of Choudrant, LA; children: Donna Snipe Michael, Randy Snow Tracie, and Luci Ducharme Charles; 11 grandchildren: Mindy Graham Chris, Chance Snow, Chase Snow, Jacob Snow, Lucas Ducharme, Jonah Ducharme, Eric Ducharme, Dakota Steed, Cheyanne Steed, Austin Steed, and Len Snipe; 2 great grandchildren: Hunter Graham and Gage Snipe; siblings: Clara Lonney Mack, Sybil Park Ralph, Bill Spillers Kay, Bruce Spillers Sheila, Kathy Smith Paul, and Lee Spillers Sandy; and many nieces, nephews, and other friends and family. The Snow family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Princeton Place and also to a special friend, Mrs. Beckham for their love and attention given to Melba.
