Funeral services for Mary Jean Davis will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at New Prospect Baptist Church in Dubach, LA. Brothers Terry Ganey, Mickey Manning, and Steve Jensen will officiate. Interment will immediately follow at Colvin Cemetery in Unionville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.Mary Jean Barmore Davis was born on January 24, 1928 in Hilly, LA to Willis Newton and Madie Barmore. She passed away at her home in Hilly, LA on March 7, 2018 surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary Jean drove a school bus for the Lincoln Parish School Board for over 30 years. She was an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family, and her friends very much. Mary Jean enjoyed reading and keeping up with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids through social media. Her true love was crappie fishing with her belated husband, Huey Davis.Mary Jean was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Madie, her sisters Louie and Maude, brothers James Neal, Joe Allen, Robert Earl and husband Huey Davis. Survivors include: Daughters Ann Jeffcoat (John), Lynn Rodrigues (Ronnie) and son Wayne Davis (Janet); grandchildren: Angie Carter (Matt), Linda Vachula, Jon Jeffcoat (Delia), Michael Nolan (Dionne), Kevin Rodrigues (Miranda), Rhonda Mayfield (Clinton), Meredith Heck (Brian), Clint Davis (Ashley). great grandchildren: Lauren Carter, Jonathan Carter, Blake Carter, Avery Jeffcoat, Connor Nolan, Clayton Nolan, Claire Nolan, Baeleigh Rodrigues, Davis Rodrigues, Jackson Mayfield, Tucker Mayfield, Kathleen Heck, Paige Davis, Robert Rodrigues, Cody Rodrigues, Austin Rodrigues, Allie Rodrigues, Emily Rodrigues, several nieces, nephews, and many good friends.Pallbearers will be grandsons; Steve Rodrigues, Mickey Rodrigues, Matt Carter, Michael Nolan, Jon Jeffcoat, Kevin Rodrigues, Clinton Mayfield, and Clint Davis.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church, 3438 US-167, Dubach, LA 71235.The family would like to give special thanks to the following caregivers in their endless loving care: Dr. Mark Blackwelder (and staff), Dr. William C.
