Visitation for Mary Jane Ward, 89, will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, Louisiana.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Ward was born on September 11, 1933 in Haile, Louisiana and passed away on January 14, 2023 in Hammond, Louisiana.  She enjoyed ballroom dancing, scrapbooking, sewing, and adventuring.

Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Colvin Ward; parents, William Wesley and Mary Ann Johnstone; daughter, Joni Lynn Weaver; siblings, Harry William Johnstone, Joe Earl Johnstone, Anna Lois Johnstone, Daniel Marvin Johnstone, Rachel Jean Hodgson, and Margie Cole.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Emmett Lee Ward (Debbie), Robert C. Ward (Peggy Hale Ward), Lovie A. Roppolo (Stephen), Sally Johnson (John Kenney); grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Lowther, Laura Catherine Ansel, Jared Seth Johnson, Tina Annette Senior, Spencer Stephen Ward, Zachary Robert Ward, Elizabeth Mary Ward, Timothy Emmett Lee Ward, Joshua Weaver, Amanda Weaver, Christina Weaver; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Roy Cleve Johnstone, Katie Mae McGough (Roscoe), Shirley Ruth Brantley, and Dorothy Jeanette Morrow.
