Mary Glenda Cash of West Monroe has left the building. It is assumed to be caused by her “daughter of a southern Baptist preacher” state of mind. Life long rebellious acts of doing nothing that doctors recommended and everything that she wanted.
She left behind a heck of a lot of stuff to her daughter Tanya and son Jeff who have no idea what to do with it.
If you’re looking for autographed Elvis impersonator memorabilia, 60 gallon plastic tubs of nothing but playing cards, really heavy and fully stuffed purses or anything imaginable with flamingos on it –
You should wait the appropriate amount of time and get in touch. Tomorrow would be fine.
This is not an ad for a garage sale (although she loved those too) but an obituary (Mary’s way – If you will) for the funniest and most memorable mom, grandmother and friend that ever lived. Our personal version of celebrity Betty White.
Mary Glenda was born September 30, 1944 (although she probably told you 1946) and entered the real gates of Graceland on July 25, 2021. She is survived by a very dysfunctional family that she was proud of.
Mary was state-wide known for her fowl language, lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. If something needed to be said you could always count on her to say it. Usually more than once and louder for those in the back.
With that said, she was genuine to a fault, a lion at heart and yet she sugar coated nothing. Aside from her extensive vocabulary being more than highly proficient, knowing more curse words than most people learned in a lifetime – She was a mathematician and could ramble numbers faster than you could enter them in a calculator.
Mary is preceded in death by parents Rev. N.T. and Josephine Smith.
She will be tremendously missed and never forgotten by partner of 35 years George Maxwell, daughter Tanya Cash Williams, son James Jeffrey Cash, grandkids Destiny and (husband) Justin Litke, Trey and (wife) Megan Spillers, Marah and (husband) Eric Miller, Cooper Cash, Carter James Cash and 8 great grandkids Eisley, Journey, Remi Jo, Wrenley James, Trip, Quade, Ryle, Legend and the uncountable amount of cousins and friends.
