Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Dumas, 73, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 8, 2008 at Swartz First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Gerald Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhern Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.Mrs. Dumas was born June 8, 1934 in Meadville, MS and passed away February 4, 2008 in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Dumas was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend and faithful servant. She attended Swartz First Assembly of God Church and Grace Christian Fellowship in The Woodlands, Texas. She was a missionary to Jamaica, Guatemala and Barbados and supported many charities and missionaries worldwide.She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Dumas and son, Robert M. ?Mike? Dumas, her mother Gladys Farrar, step-father Jim Bob Farrar and father Monroe J. Cater. Mrs. Dumas was also preceded by her brothers W. R. ?Billy? Farrar and Monroe J. Cater, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Keith A. Tyson and wife, Jeanette and Steve Tyson and wife, Kitty, grandchildren Christopher Tyson, Erica Forwood, Dannette Tyson, Melissa Tyson, Johnny Morrison, Brandy Abraham and 8 great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are J. B. Farrar, Jr., Randy and Shirley Farrar, Patsy and Pink Self, Evelyn and Wookie Flattmann and Cathern and Robert Walker and a host of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be members of The Monroe Fire Department.Visitation will be at from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Lamy Lane in Monroe.
