Mary Bryant Rhodes, 85, was born in Laurel, MS but resided in Morgan City, LA. She raised four children, Lawrence, Linda, Robert & Dianna. Mrs. Rhodes also has three grandchildren, Scott, Mary, and Amanda; two great grandchildren, Stella and Eva. Mrs. Rhodes retired from nursing and continued devoting her time to children and grandchildren. She loved cooking, especially sweets but her homemade biscuits were tops for any meal. She enjoyed getting outside tending to her yard and garden or just sitting at the table enjoying a warm sunny day. Her best quiet time was earlier in the morning; waking up with a cup of coffee and jotting notes while reading her bible. Mrs. Rhodes presence will be missed, terribly, but the knowledge that she is without pain and residing in heaven with GOD is comforting. As she always missed her mother, we will always miss her.

Mrs. Mary was a wonderful loving lady n will be truely missed!

This morning as I was reading the paper and read "Morgan City" and Mary Rhodes,I knew this had to be your mother. Just seeing her name brought back so many memories. The parties we had at your home in high school. She was a precious lady. Remember , God has His arms around all of you now and always. You are in by prayers. Maybe sometime I will be able to back to Berwick when the "gang" gets together. God bless you and your family. I know you have so many good memories.
