Funeral services for Mary Alice Smith, 83, of Ruston, Louisiana, will be held at Vernon Baptist Church of Chatham, Louisiana, at 12:00 P.M., Monday, November 22, 2021. Rev. Mitchell Myles will officiate, and interment will follow at Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be Monday, November 22, 2021, at Vernon Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Mary Alice was born July 5, 1938, in Rayville, Louisiana and passed from this life, November 17, 2021. She was a member of Vernon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Averry Smith Jr. and her parents, Henry and Fannie Mae Williams.

Mary Alice is survived by her children; Debbie Goings of McComb, MS., Darrell Smith of Natchez, MS., Deana Thomas of Vernon, LA., and Dale Smith of Vernon, LA.; Brothers, Sonny Boy Williams of Ruston, LA., and Jimmy Ray Williams of Magnolia AR; sister, Ruthie Mae Noble of Crescent City, FL. She has 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Thomas, Jeff Smith, David Smith, Dale Smith, Jason Young, Will Young, and Averry Smith III
