Funeral services for Mary Alice “Bushy” Whitton, 75, of Sterlington, LA will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 14, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Marcel Crowe officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove South Cemetery in Bastrop, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mrs. Whitton was born on October 10, 1936 in Tendal, LA and passed away on September 11, 2012 in Sterlington, LA in the comfort of her own home surrounded by loved ones. She loved her family and visiting with friends and family over coffee. She also enjoyed cooking, never met a stranger and was a mother to us all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arza Sonny Whitton. She is survived by her sons: Arza “Butch” Whitton and wife, Kathy, Vance “Stevie” Whitton and his wife, Donna, Kevin Whitton and his wife, Regina; Sisters: Diane Whitton and her husband, Mac and Peggy Laudadio and her husband, Jim; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Kevin - I'm so sorry for your families loss. Your mother was a very special lady and I'll always have wonderful memories of Bushy and Pop. Their home and hearts were always open to everybody and they always made you feel like part of your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for everyone's loss. She was a great lady and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

There will never be another like my Aunt Bushy. Always loving, laughing and always welcoming. She was like the glue that held the family together in so many ways. As Lisa said earlier, she is rejoicing with her family that went before her now but those left behind will miss her dearly. She opened her home to us and welcomed us as if we were her own and that will never be forgotten. I love you all. Kathy Ann

I know the pain and am so sorry but at the same time we should be happy because they are re united all together in Heaven with Jesus and with loved ones...
