Mrs. Marietta H. Farrar Funeral services for Marietta H. Farrar, 76, of Farmerville, LA., will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Farmerville with Dr. Connie Ward and Rev. Paul King officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery in Farmerville under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville. Mrs. Farrar was born on December 8, 1934 in Laran, LA., and passed away on January 29, 2011 in Monroe, LA. She was a resident of Crossett from 1942 to 1991 and retired to Farmerville in 1991. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist church where she served as pianist for many years and was a member of the Earline Tucker Sunday school class. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed playing dominoes and Rook with her friends at the Arbor. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Farrar. Survivors include her children: David C. Farrar and wife Romaine of Farmerville, LA; Lisa Farrar of Farmerville, LA; granddaughter: Annamari Elyse Farrar of Farmerville, LA; sister: Marsha H. Henry and husband Andrew F. of Little Rock, AR; caregivers and special friends: Carolyn Tucker, Linda Ward, and Linda Rivers. The family wishes to thank the staff and guests of Arbor Rose Assisted Living as well as the physicians and staff of the Louisiana Specialty Hospital. Pallbearers are Ray Hammons, Rex Cobb, Jamie Cobb, Eddie Albritton, Joel Rhodes, and Rick Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Tucker, Wayne Odom, and Tommy Williams. Visitation will be Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
