Marie Preslar

February 11, 1931 - January 17, 2022

Marie Preslar, 90, passed away on January 17, 2022.  Entombment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida, at a later date.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband Ned Wakefield Preslar and her parents, Edna and Hayden Frye.  She is survived by her children, Terry  Preslar and Donna Underwood; grandchildren, Geoffrey Underwood and his wife Robin; great-grandchildren, Grace Underwood Smith and her husband, Zach, Emma Underwood, and Roger Underwood.

Marie loved spending time with her family, and especially watching LSU and Saints football.  She was a member of the Ouachita Parish Republican Women’s Club, Monroe Garden Club, Monroe Symphony League and Monroe Little Theater.

Special thanks to Alonzo and Linda ”Ree” Benjamin for their love, friendship, and support for the past 30 years.
