Funeral services for Marie Barnes “Monkey” Hattaway will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2011 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Bro. Bob Witt and Rev. Waymond Warren will be officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Marie B. Hattaway went to her heavenly home on October 10, 2011. She was born September 3, 1925 in Monroe, LA and was a life long resident of Calhoun, LA. Marie was a collector of many things. She loved to paint, ride horses, play the guitar and piano, gardening, singing in church and eating butterscotch. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Webster Odom, “W.O.” Hattaway; her parents, Eula Fitzpatrick Barnes and Wesley S. Barnes; granddaughter, Heather Latiss Hattaway. Marie is survived by her three sons: Randy Phil Hattaway and wife Ginger, Osie Glenn “O.G.” Hattaway and wife Darra; Louis Christel “Chris” Hattaway and wife Mary; grandchildren, Chuck Hattaway, Nikki Hattaway, Shane Hattaway and wife Kristin, Michelle Hattaway, Wesley Hattaway, Jesse Hattaway and wife Ashley, Erin Hattaway, Rodney Hattaway and wife Kelly, Malia Sellers and husband Jerry, Kelly Hattaway, Taylor Hattaway; step-grandchild, Huey Kilcrease; also 12 great-grandchildren and special friend, Virginia Ann Mitchell. Pallbearers will be Glenn Hattaway, Chris Hattaway, Randy Hattaway, Shane Hattaway, Jesse Hattaway and Wesley Hattaway. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Hattaway and Rodney Hattaway. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
