Funeral services for Margie Lee Tolbird Rogers, age 91, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 8, 2021, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes West Monroe. Officiating will be Dr. Craig West. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes West Monroe.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie and James Martin “Jack” Tolbird.
She is survived by her daughters, Antoinette “Toni” Mullins; Kimblea “Kim” Smalling and her husband, Eddie Ray; son, Michael “Mike” Lowe and his wife, Rhonda; brother, Paul Tolbird and his wife, Jeannie; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Margie retired after 40 years from South Central Bell as an operator at the assignment desk. She enjoyed working in her garden and was an accomplished seamstress. She was an avid football fanatic. Being with her family and cooking vegetables out of her own garden was her favorite pastime.
Honoring Margie as pallbearers will be David “Bubba” Mullins, Jr., Kristopher Willis, Brad Smalling, Dusty Smalling, Kaleb Smalling and Mark Allbritton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dillon Mullins, Jeremiah Mullins, John Guiterrez, Lance Labeff, Clay Labeff, Ryan Beaudion and Doug Ganey.
A special “thank you” to Caring Hands Hospice and all of her sitters for their compassion and care of Margie.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes West Monroe.
