Memorial service for Margaret Wilson Westbrook will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Larry Stafford officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Margaret was born on November 21, 1934 and died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Monday, December 20, 2010. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church, Monroe, LA, Bayou Desiard Garden Club and Uptown Ladies Club. She was preceded in death by her parents: Newton E. Wilson and Bessie McDowell Wilson, and step-son, Richard Dale Westbrook. Survived by and left to cherish her memory are her husband: O. D. Westbrook; brother: Ed Wilson and wife, Wynona of Calhoun, LA; step-daughter: Susan Westbrook of West Monroe, LA; step-grandson: John Verlander and wife, Edith of Brooklyn, NY; step-granddaughter: Allie Verlander of Austin, TX; brother-in-law: Harry Wyatt and wife, Lou of Monroe, LA; sister-in-laws: Lokile Peters of Monroe, LA, Stancil Savage of Lafayette, LA and Boyce Ann Hulen of Swifton, AR; niece: Kim Elizabeth Wilson; nephew: Eddie Wilson; great nephews: Brandon Sapsara and wife, Erin of Pittsburg, PA; Weston Wilson of Calhoun, LA; cousins: Mary Alice Wrinkle of Benton, LA and Betty Lou Young of Doylene, LA; and many dear friends. Mrs. Westbrook's family would like to express their gratitude to the employees of Senior Care Services for the excellent care during her extended illness: Trey, Mollie, Sabrina, Nancy, Glendora, and all caregivers and Hospice Compassus. Thank you to all her dear friends and relatives.
