Maggie Moncrief Williams Funeral services for Maggie Moncrief Williams, age 100, a native of Bernice, LA and a resident of Houma, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 7, 2011 at Weldon Baptist Church near Bernice, LA. Rev. Carroll Holmes will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Weldon Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Maggie was born in Bernice, LA on August 21, 1910 and died in Houma, LA on February 3, 2011. She was a 1929 graduate of Bernice High School and was the oldest member of Weldon Baptist Church. Maggie was a retired seamstress with Bernice Garment Factory and Bernice Laundry and Cleaners and spent her last few years in Houma, LA with her daughter Clarine and son-in-law Mike. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Williams; daughter Joyce Williams Nutt; her parents John Henry and Laura Moncrief; sister, Stella Grantham; and son-in-law, Willie Gene Ratley. She is survived by daughters, Nellie Clarine Rogers and husband, Mike of Houma, LA and JoAnn Parish of Houston, TX, nine grandchildren, and numerous great and great, great grandchildren. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Weldon Baptist Church and from 9:00 A.M until service time on Monday, February 7, 2011.
