Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Welch Adams, 65, will be at 2:00 PM, Monday June 26, 2006 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Stacey Wyles. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mrs. Adams was born October 3, 1940 in Jena, Louisiana and passed away on June 22, 2006 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her father; Elbert O. Welch: step-father: Johnie Black and infant son; Lane Adams; grandmother: Lillie Watson. Mrs. Adams is survived by her mother; Bernice Black of Minden: daughter; Tammy Adams Jordan and husband Jeff of West Monroe; son; Randy Adams and wife Pam of West Monroe; sister: Peggy Black Paul and husband Bill of Hockley, TX; grandchildren: Michael Nolan Jordan, Matthew Parker Jordan, Tanner Delane Adams, Erica R Guerrero and Chad Rice; great grandchildren: Mallory P. Rice, Jayla Guerrero; niece: Michelle Paul Hicks; cousins: Reggie Watson and Ricky Duplissey; aunt: Daisy Bass; uncle: Buddy Watson and wife Sherry After a brief illness, Mae passed away on June 22, 2006. A lover of the arts, she especially enjoyed music and literature. Mae loved her pets, tending her flowers, and studying her Bible. Leaving too soon, she will be missed by her entire family. Pallbearers will be members of the West Monroe and Monroe Police Department Honor Guards. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
