Cherry Lynn Kirkham Sanderlin was born October 8, 1955, to the union of Lavaughn and Dorothy Banks Kirkham. She passed away on March 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marsha White.
Lynn worked for several financial businesses in the Monroe/West Monroe area, was a Mary Kay consultant, owner of Special Delivery Gift Basket Co., and absolutely loved her office position at Highland Elementary School, where she worked for over 20 years. She immensely enjoyed interacting with the students and faculty, but her greatest joy was being a wife to her husband, Ted, a mother to her son, Kyle, and the best Yaya to her grandchildren.
Lynn was kind, loving, humorous, and incredibly outgoing. She always supported others in need, willingly giving with her open heart. Some of her favorite activities included attending Louisiana Tech football games and tailgating with her husband and fellow Bulldog fans. She enjoyed country, gospel, and classical music, as well as playing the piano at church services.
Left to cherish Lynn’s memory are her husband of 43 years Ted; her son Matthew Kyle (Lindsay Loftin); grandchildren Brycen Ford, Madilyn Grace, Jordan Allen Young; three brothers Henry (Bertie), Ronald (Judy), and Ralph (Cheryl); one sister Laura Kirkham and brother-in-law Randy Sanderlin along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Honoring Lynn as pallbearers will be Brycen Sanderlin, Chris White, David White, Joey Cloud, Jeremy Kirkham and Tommy Lee.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Lisa, the management, and the staff at Stoneybrook Memory Care Facility. You were all incredible!
