Lunnie Colvin Grafton Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for Lunnie Colvin Grafton, 96, of Dubach will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at New Prospect Baptist Church near Dubach with Rev. Mickey Manning and Dr. Andrew H. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 1187 Pine Grove Church Road, near Bernice under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Lunnie Colvin Grafton was born to Jerome Colvin and Maggie Murphy Colvin in Culbertson community near the Union and Lincoln Parish area on December 6, 1914. She passed away early Saturday morning, January 15, 2011 at North Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston after a brief illness. Mrs. Grafton is preceded in death by her husband, Everett J. Grafton and parents, Jerome and Maggie Colvin and two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Grafton is survived by two daughters, Jerolyn G. Crawford and husband Emmett L. Crawford of Dubach; Sherry N. Sanders and husband William Ben Sanders of Dubach; and one son, Bro. James E. Grafton and wife Mary Nell Grafton of Dubach; brother-in- law, Kenneth Wyrick of Lake Charles; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Grafton was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and loved the Lord and her church family. In her earlier years she was a housewife and loved to garden and work in her yard. She also enjoyed talking about her childhood days growing up in the Fellowship community near Dubach. She was affectionately known as ¨Grandma G. and she loved spending time with all of her family. She always had a ready smile and a humble and gentle spirit. The family appreciates the caring and compassionate care given by Dr. Wayne Owens and Dr. Tommy Smith, the staff of both North Louisiana Medical Center and Louisiana Home Heath Care and by special caretakers Laura Jackson, Reva Jackson, Alvern Bevans, Shelaine Warren and Christina Henry. Pallbearers will be Davey Crawford, Larry Crawford, Stanley Crawford, Rocky Crawford, Ross Sanders, Craig Crawford, Nicky Barham, and Clint Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Barham, Cecil Minor, Vance Grafton and Kerry Gaskin. Memorials in her honor may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church of Dubach, the Louisiana Baptist Children≠s Home in Monroe or to a charity of your choice.
